Packing for a cruise?

I am a teenage girl and my family is going on a Baja Carnival Cruise this September. I was just wondering what to pack. Like what kind of stuff to bring for day and for the formal nights, etc. Also what kind of makeup should i wear? I know all waterproof stuff, but if you could tell me what waterproof makeup works best for you, that would be great too:)

Oh, and how big should my suitcase be if the cruise only lasts four days? sorry for all the questions, but its my first cruise and i don't want to realize I'm missing something when I'm in the middle of the ocean.

thanks:)Packing for a cruise?
Bring at least five days worth of clothes, just in case anything should happen. Shorts, tank tops, t-shirts - basically summer wear in general.

Bring two swim suits for you to rotate during your four day cruise. Also, bRing sunscreen, sunglasses, a water bottle for port days and some comfortable shoes.

As for the formal night, a skirt and a nice top, along with a nice pair of shoes would do the trick. Don't make it look like you're going to meet the president or something. Just be natural and elegant.

If you want, some insect repellent may help.

Another thing you might want to bring would be duct tape. For broken suitcases and such.

Finally, don't forget some cash and all of your travel documents necessary to board the cruise.

Check out your cruise lines website could help.

Have fun!
you wont need your cellphone :)

i had the usual : sunscreen, shades, bathing suit, formal recital dress, x days worth of clothes, camera, walkie talkies (?), sand/beach shoes, money, seasickness medication (i had a friend with me who got laid out by it), money (for souvinirs and jewlery, not food), and toiletries/makeup. that should cover most everything and fit into a medium sized suitcase.Packing for a cruise?
Do a search for "cruise packing list" and you'll get lots of leads.
For the day I would bring gym shorts, tank tops, anything comfortable that would go over a bathing suit. For shoes, I only brought my rainbows, and a pair of flip flops that I could get wet to wear out down to the pool and stuff. I would also bring some jean shorts, and a few nice shirts for the dinner at night, and a formal dress for the formal dinner. I think any kind of waterproof makeup would work. I would probably also bring about 5 days worth of clothes in case something happens to a pair, and if all else fails you can always go to one of the stores, and buy a shirt or something. Hope you have a good time!
