For the love of God. I know you'll tell me to go to a doctor - I have a derm appt at the end of the month. In the mean time, I'd like some insight as to whether my bed is infested or I'm a leper or I've contracted the HIV. If anyone has some golden nuggets of info, it would be greatly apprediated:
What: mixture of little pimple-looking bumps and mosquito bite lookin bumps
Where: mostly on arms, a few on face, neck, back, thighs but majority on arms
When: Whenever the heck they feel like rearing their ugly heads. I've had them appear at work, at home, day, night. The element of surprise just adds to the fun
More: weirdly, some are symmetrical - I will get two next to eachother on the back of one arm and two more in almost the same spot on the other arm. They're sneaky. I might have nothing on my arm and then feel a little itch or bruch up against somethig and the next scratch and BOOM big welt-looking beast. Most are small but I got a pretty sexy one last night when I got out of the shower (actually I got them all over my upper arms when I got out) that is enormous and a perfect circle that is darker in the center and lighter on the outside. I'll put cortizone on to help the itch but they really only go down with time, but when the mood striked then they'll come right back days later. Most of them are leaving darkish/purpley MARKS behind which is making me hysterical because I'm a 25 year old female who loves skimpy black dresses. This has been going on a few months. Here are answers to all the questions you'll ask:
-Am I on medicine? Yes, lamictal and adderral, but I've been on them for a year and no symptoms until now. No birth control
-Have I changed detergents/soaps? Nope
-Has my diet changed? Not really. I've eaten less since being on the medicines but again, that's been a year
-Could I have bedbugs? I went to Italy last month and stayed in hostels. But I am bed bug paranoid and had a bedbug killin spray i doused the entire room and mattress with before i touched anything. I didn't see the dark mess they leave on the edges of my bed and I feel like they wouldn't pop up randomly when I'm at work but who knows. Also, neither of my roommates have had bites/bumps
-Do you have allergies/history of skin disease? No allergies besides pollen when the seasons change. The only skin issues I've had is dryness from not drinking enough water
-Anything else? I do have anxiety and sometimes take xanax for panic but only as needed. I haven't had a panic attack since early September and the bumps appeared after my last attack and have gotten worse since
I do look like a leper. My shoulders/arms and upper face (esp around eyebrows and lashes) look completely busted and I'm worried about dying an old maid. I work at a professional office and people look at me like I have fleas. It's ruining my social life, professional life and I'm wondering if this is the beginning of the end for me. Please help.
Thanks!!!Hives or bedbugs or impending death!?
It could be many different things. I would try to contact your dermatologist to make an earlier appointment if at all possible. I noticed you have traveled abroad recently and you might have picked up an infectious skin condition that your body has little or no immunity to. Don't stress yourself out too terribly much. I know, easier said than done, but stress can exacerbate certain skin issues. I hope you find out what is going on soon.
Best of luck!!

Maybe its morgellons disease
First of all most importantly your on medication that doesn't allow you to get much sleep, so make sure your getting enough sleep because if your not thats whats causing your hallucinations also, medications like that will make you think that as a long term side effect, try having someone who is sober if they can see them, also try finding stronger things for the itching.
