you may just have two different problems that seem to be one. your cruises go out quite often in many vehicles. and the wiper motors work sometimes off and on before they quit all together.

It could be an electrical problem or the motor dosent work in thouse modes anymore and will have to get replaced
it sounds like the switch is bad take it to your local mechanic to have it checked
