Great Hotel for 20 something couple?

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Vegas toward the end of July. But I have been running ragged trying to figure out which hotel to stay at! We both have been to Vegas a lot, and have stayed at Wynn, Signature, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, MGM and Cesar's This time around we want to stay somewhere cheaper, but not somewhere that is going to dissappoint. I just can't decide where!

I have been looking at:

GO rooms at the Flamingo

Paris

Treasure Island

Monte Carlo

Golden Nugget downtown

I know there is construction going on, so I'd like to avoid that...

SORRY! I'm being so wordy!

I just can't decide which is the best choice!

Please help! :)Great Hotel for 20 something couple?
Missy,

Im also in my 20's and just moved out to vegas to intern at a vegas hotel group. Out of those choices, I would recommend Treasure Island and Monte Carlo. They are both on the strip and very nice properties, and you wont be disapointed. I would also check out the Excalibur which is also located on the strip nad has rooms starting at $41. These hotels are offering some good promotions right now, so you should definatly check it out. Here are the links to their pages

Good luck. If you need anymore help, just let me know

OK I would avoid Downtown, old boring

Think about Luxor, the pyramid, with two fantastic night clubs, next to Mandalay Bay with 2 more, and by Tropicana, MGM Grand, NYNY, Monte Carlo, and Excalibur. NO construction.Great Hotel for 20 something couple?
Treasure Island is great. I stayed there and had a great time. If you are looking for hotel offers keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - they have the newest Las Vegas hotel promotions.
Since you've already been to some of the nicer hotels I'd try to stay in that same hotel class

Why not the Palms??? It's fun and geared for your age group.

I've been pretty satisfied with the Flamingo. I LOVE the location and the pool is pretty tight. Those GO Rooms look pretty nice too. Was going to stay in last trip but they could only upgrade us for one night (two girls with ALOT of luggage...shoes...clothes) we didn't want to have to move our stuff so declined.

We are planning another trip for Labor Day weekend and might try for a GO the whole trip. Or else we are staying @ MGM

Look into them as well, they have some pretty good deals going on right about now

I'd skip the Paris. T.I. %26amp; Monte Carlo....esp. since you are use to higher end.....I haven't stayed @ them, but wasn't impressed enough to. but hey that's JMO

Golden Nugget was nice but is downtown (boyfriend was in Poker Tourny) it cost a ton in taxis for me to go back %26amp; forth to strip.

another suggestion since you are going with boyfriend is the Red Rocks! my boyfriend and I rented a car on last day and went out there (only about 20 min drive from strip) It's really nice and is something alittle different than the normal Vegas experience. you know how it is...the 'couples trip' is totally different then the girls weekend :)
I like golden nugget very much but it is a different Vegas and as long as you are happy not to spend so much time one the Strip then it could be a good choice.

TI, the rooms are nice, the property is nice and its good fun, Mystere is one of the best shows in town and its good for visiting Venitian, Mirage et al

Monte Carlo a bit more subdued classy and great pool however around the pool you can hear the building works from city centre but there are no building works inside.

Have you thought about Mirage its our fave, great rooms, great pool and still got that old Vegas level of service this link is dircet to the hotel we have booked for Xmas for $524 for a week rates from $72 a night its worth thinking about.

Hey, I love Vegas, too. I usually stay at Excalibur because I prefer the less expensive hotels. It leaves up more money for gambling and entertainment! It seems like you are used to a more upper class hotel, so I wouldn't go too far under that to avoid being disappointed. Out of what you have listed, I would choose the Treasure Island Hotel or Monte Carlo.

Treasure Island looks like they have very nice rooms, and they have so many options. Their pool area looks very nice, they have a DJ on Saturday and Sunday nights through September. If you get their standard guest room you can get a:

Deluxe room- floor to ceiling windows

Strip View Room

Panaramic View Room- located on the corner

Tower Deluxe Room- penthouse floor with vaulted ceilings

There is also the choice of the Petite Suite

King bed, 2 marble bathrooms with whirlpool tub.

From as low as $119/night

Executive Suite- 830 sq ft., king bed, 2 marble baths with

whirlpool tub, living room, upgraded sound system.

Tower Suite- 930 sq ft, separate sitting area, king bed, 2 marble bathrooms, whirlpool tub, living area, dining table, walk-in closets

Luxury Suite- 1030 sq ft, one bedroom, 2 marble bathrooms, whirlpool tub, wetbar, tropical pool views

There are also the Premier Suite and the Penthouse suite, but they get really expensive.

The Monte Carlo has really nice upgraded rooms. Using promotion codes, you can get some decent deals on them. Their pool area has a lazy river, 4 pools, and a restaurant.

Deluxe room

Just like any other regular hotel room. Rates from $59/night

Monaco Suite :)

Contemporary Decor, sealy posturepedic mattresses, 700 ft, 1 1/2 baths, whirlpool jets in the master bath, 32" HDTV flat panel tv, ipod connection, cd player.

From $144/nt

Spa Suite:)

700 ft, king bed, full-size jacuzzi tub offering panoramic views of the mountains, desert, or the strip, surround sound stereo, 24 hour AAA Four Diamond service.

From $299/nt

It sounds like you want to stay on or very near the strip, so I would stay away from hotels like the Palms, because it would get expensive travelling to the strip all the time. From Treasure Island, you can just walk out the doors of your hotel and be on the strip and on your way. I hope this helps. Have a good trip!
