so how much did ur honeymoon cost and what did u guys do?How much did your honeymoon cost?
Ours cost between $2,500 and $3,000 total.

We opted to drive to Maine where we had rented a bungalow on the shore overlooking one of the lighthouses. I chose the first week of the "off" season in September which saved us alot - - it was about $900 for the rental (one week earlier would have been $1,400). Gas was about $500, food for the week (we had some fancy dinners out) was about $800. I didn't really keep track of much else -- fees for sightseeing, souvenirs, etc.
I gave her a fat down payment on a house instead of an engagement ring. we got married in the courthouse and postponed our honeymoon 'til our 20th Anniversary, and spent only about $2000 to visit relatives in Asia.

Can you imagine not being in debt? How much did your honeymoon cost?
My bf have decided we are getting married but are wanting to plan a special honeymoon. We have saved up about 4 grand so far. That way when we do decide what to do we have the money. The honeymoon shouldn't cost more than your wedding. Should be less than 1/2 of your wedding
Benny sounds kinda bitter. There's nothing wrong with having a wedding, a ring, and/or honeymoon as long as you don't go into debt. We're going on a cruise to the Caribbean and it's costing about $2,000-$2,500. No debt.
Where are you flying from? Honestly, that sounds expensive for Vegas.

Golden Nugget is downtown, not on the LV strip. Its a 15 minute cab ride if you want to go to the strip each way. (not cheap either). Also, golden nugget is one of the oldest hotels there, its not as nice as some of the newer ones.

PH Towers is on the strip.

How much do you plan to do downtown? There's really not a lot there, others than the older casino's/hotels and the laser light show at night. You might be better off staying on the strip your entire stay.

Not all dining in Vegas is super expensive.

Hoover dam is a nice tour, but there is many different ones. You might want to consider the Red Rock Canyon one too.
We were fortunate on our honeymoon because my parents wedding gift to us was a week at their timeshare, which we could transfer to just about anywhere we wanted to stay. So we didn't have to cover lodging, and since their unit-style has a full kitchen, we saved a lot on food by cooking there instead of going out.

We had to cover airfare from Arizona to New Hampshire (my husband had never seen the east coast in the fall, and we had already visited a few tropical places before we were married), and that was around $600. Then we rented a car for the week, and since I was under 25 (we just had me as the sole driver to save money), that was $800. We had a couple nice dinners out, but otherwise bought food at the farmers markets/grocery store to cook at the resort, and it was probably around $500 total for food. Other than that, we didn't spend a whole lot of money, we mostly just enjoyed the natural beauty and went on a lot of hikes. We did go to a local museum and corn maze, but that was only $50 or so for both things. I bought a really pretty pin ($200) and my husband found some antiques at a local shop (around $200). We didn't spend a great deal on fancy overpriced attractions or excessively expensive dining, but we still had a really nice honeymoon.
My husband didn't tell me anything about our honeymoon except to pack for a week and bring clothes for cooler but not cold weather. I didn't find out until the day we left that we were going to france for a week. We flew into Paris and spent the day in Versailles touring the palaces. Then drove to the northern coast to Mont-Saint-Michel and we spent a day there. Then we drove to Caen and spent a day touring the WWII museums (my grandfather stormed Omaha beach on dday). That evening we drove to Paris and checked into Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg hotel. We did the Paris hot spots for 4 days and took a train to Amsterdam. We spent less then a day there but it's a small city so we saw the floating flower market, Ann Frank house, etc..... We flew home from Amsterdam.

Honestly, my husband owns a small business so we have so many Amex points that the whole trip cost us about $1000 for the extras we paid cash for.
