Big Sur, CA?

I'm just wondering if the Big Sur area of California has the same giant redwoods as Redwoods National Park does? I'm going to be out there in a couple months, and it would be easier to make a stop in Big Sur on my way from San Fransisco to San Diego then it would be to drive 3 or 4 hours north of 'Frisco to the national park.Big Sur, CA?
It's almost a six hour drive if you're coming from SF. There's Muir Woods, north of SF on the north side of the GG Bridge, there's Big Basin near Saratoga/Santa Cruz. ANd yes, the trees near Big Sur are huge.
Not that i ever noticed.Big Sur, CA?
It doesn't have redwoods the size that they grow in the north. However, they're pretty big. Pfeiffer Park has the largest one, next to the softball field.
Take the time to drive to Monterrey, Big Sur down to Pismo... Hwy 1.

It's an experience you'll remember your entire life.
No, not the same. Very nice forests, but not the same at all.
I didnt see any giant redwoods down at Big Sur when i went past there recently.

I've been to Muir woods and Big basin. Those 2 places are really nice. I didnt stop at Big Sur, but it sure looks pretty nice. You should go check it out anyways.
