Sequoia or Redwood National Park?

Hi, I'm planning a trip to California next May and I'm trying to decide between going to Sequoia or Redwood National Park. Is one better/prettier than the other? I'd like to go to both, but they are about 10 hours apart. I'd love to drive through the featured huge trees I see online. Not sure if that can be done in both.Sequoia or Redwood National Park?
The other answerer is incorrect about Sequoia National Park. You are right, it is about 10 hours from Sequoia which is near Visalia, CA, not Sausalito. I just made a trip up north from Monterey, CA up into the Redwood National Park, and that's about 8 hours. Both parks are quite an experience, and to be honest, I'd be hard put to decide one or the other. Redwood gives you the largest trees in the world and Sequoia gives you more activities. If you have children, Sequoia might be a better option. But, if you have only one trip to make and have a chance to see Redwoods, well. Highway 101 takes you through the Redwoods and it's an amazing drive with a number of places to stop. I do admit the Redwoods are wondrous but there's not much else to do except look, go camping or visit surrounding cities and a few tourist attractions that you can see. Redwood is a long drive from major cities and isolated. Sequoia is accessible to cities near Bakersfield, CA and the Central Valley. Both are beautiful, Sequoia is not far from Yosemite, one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Whichever you choose you can't really go wrong, but if you want options for other activities, I'd choose Sequoia because of its proximity to cities. Redwood is more remote and it takes so many hours to get there - the drive is wonderful but it is far away from any major activities.
I've only heard of the drive-through trees being up north, closer to Redwood.

Sequoia is the High Sierra. Along with the largest trees in the world, it is home to granite mountaintops, pristine lakes, and Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48. You can simply walk to the summit, provided you have the hard-to-get permit. Being the High Sierra, it's still pretty cold in May. There will be snow at higher elevations, and some roads will be closed until summer - and it will likely go below freezing at night, even below snow level.

Redwood is a much smaller park, and much more remote. The weather there is more moderate, and Oregon-like - cool and rainy. Both are pretty parks, and I don't think one is necessarily better than the other.Sequoia or Redwood National Park?
Sequoia are the threes that are big around. Redwoods are extremely tall. More likely to drive through one at Sequoia.

Both are beautiful and you will be happy with either one- you can't go wrong.

Sequoia is closer to other places and things to do. It's not too far from Yosemite. Redwood is more secluded but is a beautiful drive. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.
Not 10 hours apart. Muir Woods is 1 1/2 hours north of San Francisco and Redwood National Park where you can drive through the tree is about 4 1/2 hours north of San Francisco.
