Besides sightseeing, I was wondering what are some fun, active things to do at the Grand Canyon and Redwood National Park.Vacation: Grand Canyon/Redwood National Park?
At Grand Canyon, you can ride a mule down a (somewhat narrow) trail into the canyon. You could also hike down that same trail (or other trails). There are helicopter rides over the canyon. You can camp down near the Colorado River at the bottom of the canyon. There are rafting trips you can take down the river in the canyon.
It's been a long time since I've been to Redwood. I think the primary activities there are sightseeing, camping, hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding. Here's a link to the park's "Things To Do" information: http://www.nps.gov/redw/planyourvisit/th鈥?/a>
