Physics Homework please help, I Think I Have The Equation Set Up Need Help Solving?

The tallest tree in california's Redwood National Park is 111m tall. Suppose an object is thrown downward from the top of that tree with a certain intital velocity. If the object reaches the ground in 3.80s

DeltaY= -111m DeltaT = 3.80s G= -9.81

-111m=Vi3.80s+.5(-9.81)(-111)2

distance = (1/2) at^2 + vt + x

distance above ground at end of fall (3.80 s from start)

0 m = (1/2) (-9.81 m/s^2) (3.80 s)^2 + v (3.80 s) + 111 m

0 m = (1/2) (-9.81 m/s^2) (14.44 s^2) + v (3.80 s) + 111 m

0 m = -70.8 m + v (3.80 s) + 111 m

70.8 m - 111 m = v (3.80 s)

-40.2 m = v (3.80 s)

v = -10.6 m/sPhysics Homework please help, I Think I Have The Equation Set Up Need Help Solving?
use the eqn V^2 - U^2 = 2*a*s

V= Final velocity.

U = initial velocity.

a = acceleration due to gravity.

s = distance coverd.
