Vip Travel Reservation, Inc. SCAM?

My wife and I sat through a 90 minute "no obligation" presentation. We are being promised an 8 day 7 night cruise any where in the continental U.S. Along with 2 FREE roundtrip plane tickets. Did I mention everything is supposed to be free? Why are we having to pay $75.00 for flight and $99.00 for the cruise ONLY in cashier check or money order. Both will be refunded within 18 months. I would like an explanation for these fees. Also, when calling the toll free number, no body answers. Why? We HAVE NOT sent in ANY money yet. We probably wont. Has anyone been through this? Did it work out? Is it a scam?

They are a scam. Read the many unhappy reviews on complaintsboard.com. They are a pressure-sales group. You are getting a free trip but you must pay $75. Then, when you pay that, they say they need an additional $99. Both by money order. Later you find out that the money is only refundable if you used a Post Office money order, not a bank money order.

When people showed up at the hotel for their free stay, the hotel said they did not understand what was going on. VIP had not booked any rooms. It was all a waste of time and money and effort.Vip Travel Reservation, Inc. SCAM?
I don't now that company but if you were promised a FREE prize you cannot be asked to pay anything to get it - unless it was stated in their written terms and conditions that were given to you before they asked for money. What did their contract say - did you sign something when you went to the presentation? If it said there that you had to pay fees, they are not doing anything illegal. Dodgy maybe. But if there is nothing in writing saying you had to pay anything to get your "free" prize then you should file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and the BBB
