Are These decent metaphors?

This is apart of my homework and I was wondering were these okay metaphors? The words in parentheses is what i HAD to begin with just fyi.

1. (The Desert) is a hot oven

2. (Sky rockets and Roman candles) are loud sirens

3. (The large field) is a smelly skunk.

4. (The moon) is a bright light

5. (The racing car) was a fast cheetah.

6. (His hands) is dry sand.

7. (A golden nugget) is a bright sun

8. (The eyes) was a blue ocean

If these metaphors dont make sense or anything PLS let me know and suggest a better one

Thnx!Are These decent metaphors?
They're a bit bland for my taste. try revising it to something like:

The ones I did nothing too is the ones I like. I didn't change some of them too much!

1. (The Desert) is a hot oven

2. (Sky rockets and Roman candles) are loud sirens

3. (The large field) smells really bad, I threw up (LOL I just thought the skunk thing was lame)

4. (The moon) is a big, bright night light in the sky

5. (The racing car) was a swift cheetah.

6. (His hands) are dry smooth, sand.

7. (A golden nugget) is a brightl, golden sun

8. (The eyes) were blue oceans
number 3 doesnt make sense, fields dont smell, and skunks are not large., compare the feild to something large and expansive, maybe somthing that is peacefull or go the other way with somthing that is busy or crowded or neverending

the moon is not a bright light, it is more the oposite. but it can be many many things besides a light,

I dont want to do your homework for you, maybe google metaphors for some insperation, but dont plagerize. you might also want to check your grammer. you wouldnt saw the eyes was , you would say they eyes were. Are These decent metaphors?
I would suggest you change number 6, since saying is "Hands" is a plural, so shouldn't be followed by "is" since there's more than one of them.
Number 6 would be 'are dry sand' because it is plural and I'm not sure if it's just me but 8 doesn't sound right either. Wouldn't it be 'the eyes were a blue ocean'? I don't know.
