Im am planning on applying for a job as a Hostess at Applebess, ive already spoken to two of the managers at 2 local apples near my area and they both told me to come in a fill out an application but before i do, i want to know a few questions. Is being a host/hotess a hard or easy job, or is it in between. What is your job to do besides sitting ppl at there table, and how do you know where to sit the people. Do we get tips or a part of the tips, Basically just anything about being a hostess that you may know.Has Anyone been A Host/Hostess at Applebees before?
You make good tips being a hostess, sometimes you have servers tip you more so you sit them more then usual. I am a server and I tip the hostess 15%. Normally servers tip them 2%. I make pretty good moneyHas Anyone been A Host/Hostess at Applebees before?
I dont know about applebees but where I work our Hostess seats tables, sometimes waters, and takes to go orders. Some places have sections for each waitress to serve, we go by a Table Count instead. Our Hostesses get $8.50 an hour and no tips unless servers choose too. I usually do because they help when they can.
