How do i get a FIRST JOB?

im 16. my friend is going to drive me around today to find a job.i printed out 4 applications online to 4 places, so when i get to those places, do i just ask for the manager and then give it to them?

also, i was just going to go around to random places like TGIfridays or applebees. but i know that usually the only position a 16 yr old can get is hostess. so do i like walk in and ask for the manager? or would it be more useful to call before and ask if they are hiring for any positions a 16 yr old could have?

obviously this would be my first job so i have no idea what im doing haha

if you want to save gas I would call first before wasting a tank of gas and then find that they aren't hiring at all. If they are hiring turn in your applications to the manager. In a way this is why it's important to call first because then the manager would be expecting you. Good luck. :)
