1 job for only two weeks as a server, very minor work behind their small bar, Real estate liscence, 10 months of practicing making drinks at bartending school, about 15 college courses, about 4 years of working at retail stores, telemarketing, and restaurants. 6 years as a live in house keeper and counselor at a group home, 2 years as a housekeeper with my own small company that I started. Bartender for a wedding and two private parties for St. Patricks day and a birthday?
Which items would be better off left off the application, and which ones would help? Or would any of them help at all ? Would any combination of these be enough to get a job as a server or bartender anywhere? Am I fooling myself in thinking I could be a bartender / server with this? What kind of job should I do?
For a place like tgi fridays or applebees? Is this a good enough amount of work experience to get a job as a server or bartender? What should I do?
The most important information you should include is experience in the industry in which you are seeking employment. Such as your bar-tending school and catered parties. You should also include your retail experience as it depicts your ability to work and deal well with customers and fellow co-workers. You may also express your willingness to learn more in this industry as this shows eagerness to do the job. As a former restaurant manager experience is not always the important issue. Good luckIs this a good enough amount of work experience to get a job as a server or bartender? What should I do?
I don't know of any bar or restaurant that would not hire you %26amp; then train you. Most of them do not expect you to be skilled. If you are, they just have to untrain you %26amp; train you the way they want it done.
You have quite a background. WHY wouldn't someone hire you if you went to bartending school for 10 months? You have some practical experience as a server %26amp; bartender.
I wouldn't lie on the application because it could come back %26amp; hit you in the face. If they run checks on you, they will find it anyway.
