Ok about olive garden?

ok about olive garden?

ok i might get a job at olive garden there is going to be one in my area soon and i got my application ready to go. I am asking i put dishwasher and busser on the application. Is dishwasher better or is the busser better. Do olive garden have them steam washers like after you wash the dishes you put them in the steam washer do they have one of them because its a big business because applebees has one and plus do you still have to wear a collarded shirt and a tie to wash dishes or not just asking. Or should i work as a busser. Just give me the pros and cons working as a dishwasher or a busser please and thanks so much hope i get the job. but here is another thing too i have to tell you guys. I am a little bit fat and i have fat around the back of my neck and i totally hate it so damn much i want it to go away. I just don't want employees to laugh or customers to laugh either. because if i have to wear a collared shirt my fat might show and then people will laugh becasue people made fun of me in school calling me names like hamburger roll. Just don't want people to make fun of me thats all. but just give me the pros and cons please but i might want to be a busser to try something new. thanks so much guys.Ok about olive garden?
Busser they get paid hourly wage about 7 bucks plus they get tips from the waiters table he bussed. About ten percent of what the waiter makes is given to the busser by the several waiters he bussed tables for.
No one will make fun of you for getting a job.

and even if they do, just ignore them.Ok about olive garden?
get the jobQ!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with SATANISAWOMAN. I worked at olive garden as a hostess. From my memory, the bussers got around $7 plus tips and even if you share an area with another busser, you still make pretty good money. you need to be fast, because the faster you clear the tables, the more tables the hostess can sit in your section, so more money. The bussers do wear collared shirts, just like the servers and hosts, but your not in the public as much so you shouldn't be worried someone will make fun. Honestly you shouldn't worry anyway, your just going there to work and make money. Yeah Olive Garden has steam washers and the dishwashers usually just wear a t shirt with black slacks.
Dishwashing is a very tedious job and you rarely get away from your station. At least with bussing tables, you get to go out to the dining room and see something different, as well as having interaction with the servers, customers, and other bussers. And, there's the advantage of the servers sharing tips with the bussers (they should, anyway). Bussing also might eventually lead to a job serving, since you'll get more experience with the dining room, with customers, etc.

Speaking of which, why would you not try to get a job as a server? Olive Garden takes new-hire waiters and waitresses with no experience, and they provide the training. At least they did back in the early 90s when my wife started working there. And, I would think there would be a lot of positions available at a new restaurant.
