when they become surplus to the clubs requirements - is it fair to say it will be the end of an 'era' for United ?
the last of a golden era for your club, and they go.
going to feel pretty nerve wracking stepping onto the Old Trafford Pitch...knowing that, once those guys use to play there and win trophies for you.
I for one, will watch with great interest HOW SAF builds a new team - hes been successful in the past, by combining youth with experience.
but those guys were the last of a golden era, and they'll be gone v.soon.
Rio came in while those guys were still around, and somebody already mentioned that hes now aging and so hes perhaps your 3rd gen 'experienced' player.
Once RIO has gone - the United lineup is going to look alien, to those of us who grew up watching a team built around Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Keane etc.
question to United fans - are you nervous and apprehensive about what the future holds for United ?
do you fear you'll win titles - but less frequently in this new decade ? Will Nani, Anderson, Valencia, Gibson, Berbatov be enough, and could you possibly imagine United without Rooney ???
hes your current match winner - your golden nugget.
Lose Rooney and I REALLY want to see how United do next season.
thoughts and opinions on this folks. When Scholes, Giggs, Neville, VDS retire ?
Do you really think Ferguson is gonna be around to built a new team???
He'll probaby be drooling with anger on his wheelchair at a retirement home, watching United dominating the mid table for the next decade
these dogs have already had their lucky day
Well to be fair Evra is quite mature but not "ageing" as such. Same with Park. So there are a few players that could hold the team together..just.
But if Utd lose Rooney, then they will be finished lol UNLESS they manage to get someone else in to replace his presence and goal tally. I really can't see Rooney going international and actually learning a new language though...When Scholes, Giggs, Neville, VDS retire ?
United will never fall, we are to popular and this season by no means has been crap. Remember what we were 03-06. Regarding the golden age SAF has already begun so yeah.
United will tweak the squad and rebuild like they always do. By now, haven't people learned to stop doubting Sir Alex Ferguson? It won't be long until United have title 19.
when they do retire we will obviously miss them.
do u really think SAF hasnt thought abt this?
every team goes through different phases, but come what may UTD wont go through a disastrous phase for 20 yrs like liv.
We may be out of the top 4 and still without the title but our fans still have great spirit.
It's great to see this, made me laugh cause I know it's gonna come true.
hopefully if they do lose Rooney they will be in the same position as Liverpool are (no offense)
))))

Honestly, ur question cudn't get any shorter.. Phew, it's like u hate Utd with a passion.. I don't hate Liverpool.. But tell me one thing.. Maybe, for Utd, Scholes, Giggs and Neville may stay for another season or two with Owen coming back next season.. But, what will Liverpool do wen their only 2 star players viz. Gerrard and Torres leave next season eh? Ya'll be doomed.. I just hope 2 see Liverpool in the top 15 by next year.. Ur def gonna be out of Europa and please give up ur hopes about getting qualified for UEFA CL under Rafa..
Look @ ur out-of-place team b4 pointing and mocking @ others.. And yeah, get a life.. Nani is as good as beckham and gibson is gonna be the star of Utd.. And we'll have hernandez as well... Biggest of ALL, we'll have our SAF who'll take the team 2 a different level while all u Liverpool fans can do is sit and moan about Rafa...
I guess Liverpool just got over with their era and that's eating u.. Hmm, really.. Don't worry.. Liverpool will surely go places till Rafa's around..
i agree i expect liverpool and manu to be midtable by 2015
