Why do I do this? Is it just habits, or is it OCD? Does anyone else do things like these?

I asked a different question hours ago asking if it was OCD because some people said it could be. But now, researching OCD, mine doesn't seem as serious as official OCD cases?

Could it just be habits? Does anyone else do this?

For example,

I do stuff like

When my hair is in a ponytail, and one part of it feels loose or one part sticks out, i pull the ponytail bobble out and start again/or make that specific part tighter

If i wear shoes with laces, and one shoe feels tighter then the other because of the laces, i have to make the other shoe just as type

I never like it when something like my beans and chips touch

If i chew something on the left side of my mouth, i have to chew on the other side too to make it even.

If i jump on my left leg any number of times, i have to jump on my right leg to make it even.

At school, the things on my desk have to face the same way, i don't like it when they're all sprawled about (but at home, my bedroom is often messy?)

If i touch one finger with something, i have to touch all my other fingers (not all the time though)

If i have my foot on a table or something, and move my leg across it, i have to do it until i can imagine it as though i'm painting a perfect shape (like, half of the sun or something)

If i'm wrapped up in a blanket, i try to make it so every part is covered, but not my neck and head, or sometimes my leg or something.

When I eat cereal, something where the cereal is abit bigger, like golden nuggets, i have to eat them in an even order, and if there's an odd number, i eat all but one off the spoon, keep making spoon fulls, if it's odd, i eat all but that same one again, until it's even. And i like having an even number of cereal bits left.

It's all random things like that, i probably have more i don't know about or can't think of atm ..

Is it just a bunch of habits? Or is it mild OCD? Please help. Why do I do this? Is it just habits, or is it OCD? Does anyone else do things like these?
i do that exactly too . i dont have ocd. so you prob dont eitheeer
you do seem to show a lot of tendency toward OCD... it could also be another anxiety disorder. How do you feel when you fail to do things this way? For example, if you failed to make the perfect half-sun shape with your leg, or chew on the other side of your mouth. Do you feel guilt or anxiety? Are these things you've done since childhood? I used to have very similar actions, to the point that one time I failed to do something a specific number of times and I felt I was to blame when my 96 year old great-uncle died. I felt that if I would have completed a certain task the number of times I had usually done it, then he would not have died. I know that was irrational thinking but I was only 12 at the time. If you're experiencing severe anxiety or guilt when you don't follow through with these actions, it would be really beneficial for you to speak with a doctor about it. I wish I would have because my life would have gone much more smoothly and I wouldn't be living with anxiety and guilt today. Why do I do this? Is it just habits, or is it OCD? Does anyone else do things like these?
i use to have the same problem when i was younger, especially with the whole "even" thing u talked about. like when i would bump into something on my right side i'd have to bump my left side too or if i touched anything with my right hand i would have to touch with my left or else i would just feel like I couldn't function unless i did it.

i have a history of OCD in my family and what i've learned over the years is if you want to stop these habits it depends on the person.

my mom has had a cleaning OCD since before i was born and she still has it today because she let's it control her life, whereas i on the other hand realized if i just stopped cold turkey and stopped caring if those little habits even meant anything i'd be fine and for some reason it worked for me

try doing this next time ur confronted with ur OCD; instead of doing what you normally do like touching something with both sides of your body purposely ONLY touch with one side and instead of thinking about it just do something else and eventually you'll completely forget about it
Probably just mild OCD
That sounds like OCD. Wanting things to be even, having to have things on your desk facing the same way...it sounds like a mild form of OCD.
It is not OCD. Most people don't know that OCD is actually a very serious disorder that literally controls practically every aspect of the victim's life.

The things you do are just your own personal preferences to do things that way.
you only have one habit, and its expressing itself in everything you do. perhaps you should not be too concerned or think too deeply about what you do, the more you think about it the more you'll notice it happening and it'll become more of an issue. just have your beans and chips how you like them and just allow things to be even.

You may eventually get bored of everything being even and chose to allow things to just happen in a natural manner and experience that side of life for a change.
Nahh i do some of those things too :) i think everyone has odd little habbits! for example it bugs me when the teacher wipes the board and misses out a bit!! dont know why but it does ! haha i dont think its anything to worry about :)

OCD [obsessive compulsive disorder] is stuff like when you keep washing your hands over and over again, or continously checking for things like if the doors locked or if the gas is off or if you still have you keys, wallet, etc in your pocket. That kinda stuff :)
Thats not ocd. Its just quirky habits. I do alot of that stuff too :) Dont worry!
