I have been feeling like I need to take in a really deep breath all the time. I've had it in the past but never noticed anything that could cause it. I just constantly feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen and I yawn a lot too but I'm not always tired. It's really horrible. Does anyone know what might be causing this? It's been going on for about 2 weeks now.
I am on a diet as I am getting married in October. Been on this diet for about 5 weeks now. It's a calorie controlled diet. I eat a bowl of cereal for two meals a day. The cereals vary so I don't get bored but it's normally Cheerios others I sometimes eat are Frosties, Special K, Coco Pops, Golden Nuggets. Other meals are normal dinners like pasta bakes, sunday roast (on a sunday ofc) pies, mash + veg etc. Normally I wouldn't eat lunch and I would tend to binge on foods like biscuits or sweets, so I would think that what I eat now is a lot more healthier but is it possible my breathlessness is caused by my diet?
I quit smoking when I started my diet too. And if I go to a doctor with this, how do I explain it? "Doctor I can't breathe for no apparent reason" Surely doc would just think I'm a bit loopy?Feeling like I can't breathe properly?
how long have you been smoking for?
prolonged smoking causes your lung tissues to die.
Therefore, making breathing more difficult.
COPD and etc can result from long-term smoking.
which could be the cause that you can't breath very well.
OR you just feel a sense of panic and self conscious.
you can go to your doctor to get a spirometry test and test your overall lung capacity.
or maybe it's your blood. blood carries oxygen to various tissues of your body. If you don't have enough blood no matter how much oxygen you breath in, you can't carry enough. If that is the case, it could be anemia or you don't have enough iron.
It sounds like COPD, which I've got. See your doc please. You'll probably need an inhaler on prescription. Good luck with both your health and your wedding.Feeling like I can't breathe properly?
